It's (mostly) work related, though. Well, that and athletics.

(Berlin doesn't have concentration camps, unless you count being forced to dance for 12 hours while sweating out your entire body weight in Berghain to one continuous song, and then finding out when you escape into the garden that was really just 20 minutes and that line you did off the filthy toilet seat was in fact high grade ketamine)

Sounds DREAMY

SURELY it's the OTHER WAY AROUND? The NIGHTS I've lost...

Oh I’ve deffos felt like I’ve travelled through AEONS and it’s turned out to be half an hour

@Mats cultural ambassador

I had a lovely time with him and hot boy from Japanese #tbt, even though we are boring old tourists and not the ket dungeon TYPE

this I remember vaguely. did we just have lunch or something? I also met with that German poster who posted photos of his dinners (very unlike meself :eyes:). and RobotBoy one time too. he'll be thrilled to know we now have a Molton Brown shop

we met during 2013 Eurovision week. I think we did the tourist thing, that stoner harbour area, some old castle, little mermaid, Crown Jewels (I think)

I have been almost nowhere but I have been to Tbilisi and I LOVED IT. the food! the shambles!

I don't know whose crown jewels you saw but I definitely wasn't part of it :eyes:

(the rest sounds very likely though!)

I know exactly what you mean, It’s like a postcard.
We went to Metelkova Mesto which was a decommissioned army building which has been turned into a rock venue. It stank of piss and I drank Red Stripe the whole time, but it was still full of character and a bit bohemian.

Oh I went there during the day ! Was really cool

We had a right faff trying to find it, and it turned out to be about two minutes from our hotel.

looks a bit like Christiania! I've never heard of it but I want to go. Ljubljana too. I hear Slovenia's kind of expensive compared to Croatia?

Yeah but it’s still cheap compared to the UK, Northern europe in general

I don’t know if it was just because it was Dubrovnik, but Croatia was a lot more expensive that Slovenia. Montenegro’s cheaper than both, but Slovenia really isn’t that bad price-wise. The local beers were dirt cheap and delicious, I remember one was called Laska but I’ve forgotten what the other was.

To be fair, nearly all of them have some great aspects though some are far more interesting than others. Scandinavia takes the cake for me, but also Prague, Berlin and Vienna are all pretty fabulous.

London is quite decent to live in too, it’s such the melting pot.

oh Dubrovnik is by far the most expensive place I’ve been in a Croatia.
Split, Zadar and Pula are all pretty touristy but much cheaper.

i counted 27 that i don't have to double-check. sorry, my memory is shot. not counted places i've been transit (like reykjavik).

berlin is the biggest i've never been to and skopje is the unlikeliest as it's literally a spit away.

As a shout out to you in the anticipation of getting a cheap like, I’ve been to Sofia and it was lovely (and Plovdiv, which was lovely but pissing it down). We stayed at the massive old hotel right in the centre, and I fell down the stairs in the giant park.

maybe that was with HenZ RIP :eyes:
No I think we said goodbye at some sort of busy plaza after a cafe, I think we walked there after leaving you

didn't find Split and the surroundings very expensive. I just heard from some friends who visited the general area by car that Slovenia was the most expensive of the countries down that way in their experience

I think I feel the same about Copenhagen these days. although current conditions have reignited the love somewhat

i think it'd be one of my favourite eu capitals if it wasn't so expensive and so fucking cold.

the cold is not too severe anymore because of climate change :disco: money is an issue though, ugh

I love that you met up with THE EX straight after! :D have you no shame!

haha no no! I met him in 2010 after Eurovision, by myself. Think that’s before I really knew you. I was excommunicated after I let him stay at my place a few months later.

I mean me and hot boy went to the Crown Jewels place after seeing you

I forgot to check Nur-Sultan, not recognising that it was formerly the dystopian wonderland of ASTANA, where I once spent a delightful 16 hours :disco:

Now renamed after their not-dictator-at-all glorious supreme leader! :D Where's Elliot when you need him? I want some hot STAN CHAT. Looks like a BONKERS part of the world.

Well I suppose thousands of tourists being crammed into tiny little rooms within the Sistine Chapel in 30°C+ heat would be enough to put ANYONE off

I went to the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel was SHUT, the cunts. Went round the other stuff and made AGOG faces at cafe prices before leaving.
