I’m gonna clear up on the “Which Japanese prefectural capitals have you been to?” thread

Well i’ll win on the how many different départements of France have you coloured in on a map because you’ve seen a car from that location.
Catchy title

sorry, what? I don't remember at all :bruised:
:D I'm glad to hear to you have no memories of that fabulous night out with me and Queen B

You took us to an italian restaurant in the meat packing ditrict (I think), then we went to an underground techno party not far from there in this huge warehouse/parking lot but that bitch Bilal (who is basically my dealer now :side-eye: ) wasn't into it so we moved to Nevermind.

this I remember vaguely. did we just have lunch or something? I also met with that German poster who posted photos of his dinners (very unlike meself :eyes:). and RobotBoy one time too. he'll be thrilled to know we now have a Molton Brown shop
we met during 2013 Eurovision week. I think we did the tourist thing, that stoner harbour area, some old castle, little mermaid, Crown Jewels (I think)
Does this bitch have any recollection of meeting any of us?!

I hope the rules are relaxed a bit so I can count Osaka having only passed through it on the train to the airport

I remember me being sandwiched between you and Queen B at Nevermind vividly! I had just forgot about the techno party... actually I still can't recall it even with the details. DID YOU DRUG MY PIZZA?

Girls refresh my memory, Kratz was William Hague's bottom right? Is she still in politics?

Well there was THAT too :D

I definitely didn't drug your pizza, but weren't we waiterd by a QUEEN who joined us later in a bar we went to or something before going to that techno party? She may have a hand in THAT!

I'm down for a Japanese version. I have been to Okinawa, so I should get extra points for that.

We've just been talking about him in the daily thread. The SEVERAL FB friends he still has have so far failed to spill any CURRENT DIRT though

Is she still a Tory these days? It was one thing to take a load for low taxes in the Cameron era, but now...
I have no idea, is anyone still in contact? I don't think I would want to know it if that queen CLAPPED FOR BORIS :zombie:

I finally found him at the bottom of my Messenger inbox. looking hunkier than ever but sadly a very LOWKEY profile

会おうよ!the plan is to come a week or two in advance of my friends so we'll get PLENTY of time, Dids-kun

lovely!! I hope I’m not dirt poor by then so we can do something nice <3

my lasting memory last time was going to Himeji right after a typhoon or some heavy rain, and promptly getting the worst sunburn I’d had for decades, and convincing myself I’d got some sort of flesh-eating disease on my hands :D

Google says this means Aoto. I DON'T UNDERSTAND

Just Tokyo and Kyoto and some of the surrounding areas.

Oh maybe I didn’t spell it right, it means OUT!
I mean Osaka isn’t the best tourist spot on paper, but it’s a nice break from endless shrines and temples (although one of ours has a stage shaped like a monster mouth, eat it Kyoto)

It’s probably due a trend alert, now that even seems to be obsessed with street food these days

Surrounding areas? Nara? (With the deer)

neither of us is cut out for the light of day! it was indeed after the heavy rain

I am looking through pictures now, God I miss-u it-u :(

I forgot to check Nur-Sultan, not recognising that it was formerly the dystopian wonderland of ASTANA, where I once spent a delightful 16 hours :disco:

i was there in like 2005 and it was quite the shithole with a shiny center under construction. not that almaty was much better.

Not Nara but we went to the Suntory Yamazaki whisky distillery and the bamboo forest place (where I got EATEN ALIVE by mosquitoes while ex-Mr Kate farted about with his camera).

I really wanted to visit the distillery but I was always reminded when I took the train from Kyoto to Osaka to get HAMMERED and so I'd forget all about it the next day

was it good?

It was great :D Free tour with samples at the end, and then you get to sit in the "tasting room" (i.e. bar) as long as you like and they have hundreds of whiskies from all around the world at really good prices. We got smashed :disco:

I still can't drink whisky straight but a highball is one of my favourite drinks, a can or two of that is one of the first things I get when I'm in Japan :disco:
