Slight twist on the 'Songs you hate by artists you love' thing.

The gorgeous Leaving is a saving grace, but on the whole they sound tired, out of touch and more than a little bit jaded on this record. Fortunately they bounced back with Electric and Super, though the subsequent two albums I must admit I've probably played all of twice apiece. :(

I've done my rant on this one quite recently but again, two keepers in the title track and Les Sex aside, this is really a weak, uninspired grab-bag of an album. Tension II is almost as vapid, but I'll give it a pass for essentially being a companion piece to the first one.

Never gotten on board with this one.

Probably my least essential Kate record too, but I don't dislike it. I just have to be in the mood for it. It doesn't really have any standalone standouts.

Lionheart I also find her voice to be quite hard work on in places, but it has its bonkers charms.

Excluding her recent abomination and that random album of Yoga chanting she did. I like the two singles from this album a lot but I never feel compelled to listen to the whole thing front to back.

I was also thinking of this one. The 2 singles aside she sounds TIRED & DEPRESSED throughout. And "Tell Me" might be the worst song she ever did from the GOLDEN YEARS. It's actively painful to listen to.

Oh fuck that, it’s great! It’s the weakest of her imperial era albums, sure, but there’s loads to love on it.

As for Kylie, I really do think it might be Disco at this point. Or, yes, Tension II, but I agree with the companion thing…

She has others that are almost as boring (Till I Loved You, Higher Ground, The Movie Albam) but this one just has absolutely nothing going for it, not a single memorable song

I don't dislike the songs, but probably the infamous Enya album:

03 Amarantine - DISGUSTING. I very nearly went off her at this point. The 'Amarantine' font is VILE, the shiny leggings are horrible and generally it screams Lorraine Kelly crawling round on the floor having a psychotic breakdown

On forums populated exclusively by straight men aged 55 and over this would be the most common answer in the thread

The donkey of the catalogue. As flat and grey as an elephant's ear. Some of the songs were decent live, mind you. They perked up rather for that final run.

One magnificent single ('Out Of Time') doth not an album make. Their worst by a country mile. Lazy, dull, enervated.
