Crikey. What have they been doing in Manchester?

At least the government can't be accused of fannying around now. They've learned to knee-jerk like pros!

Still got something of a sense of dread of living this half-on-half-off life for the rest of eternity. Really hope one of those vaccines turns out effective and the antivax lot don't fuck it up.
It's a clever system we have anyway of sticking with a steady trickle of 80 or so deaths a day. Still an extra 29k a year, but at a low enough rate not to cause panic.

I do wonder what Grindr in Manchester is like right now :eyes:

I swear to god, it’s news like this that really makes you think we will be living in HELL for years to come :(

So they give you Over a week to get a mask sorted but throw a mini lockdown with no details and 2 hours notice straight out the gate.

Beggars belief.

It kind of hit home earlier when Nicola said we will not be proceeding on to Stage 4 in Scotland, and she didn’t even know if we would be after the next 3 weeks.

Oldham is pretty bad but in my part is fine and most of the rest of Manchester.
I popped in office for a few hours today for first time since March and was quite nice. Was meant to do 2 days next week too...shall see what happens.

They don't want the Muslims all meeting up for Eid tomorrow night. I swear I cannot be fucking doing with this again.

Do you not fall under the new rules Alex? What about @Floppet?

I do think Hancock is bit of a cunt blaming the public for not following social distancing guidelines when mixing with other households.

The guidance around Covid is beyond confusing at this point and has changed far too frequently. The government’s messaging has been woeful.

Absolutely this. What a cunt of a man.

When I heard about a local lockdown I was like FUCK, but apparently it just means we can't have anyone round, but can still go to work, the pub, or #eatouttohelpout, where the virus can't get us. Phew!

Right so you can't meet another household in a house but you can meet them in a pub or restaurant. :manson:

The best part about all of this is that these 'rules' are completely unenforceable. And surely anyone with half a brain knows that the sort of people who don't give a shit about corona rules, who are causing the spread in the first place, are the least likely to now follow these new rules.

So I'm not sure how this will make any difference whatsoever

Yes fingers crossed we aren't heading to a Leicester situation where fast forward a month and they're still stuck in the same situation.

Nope, you're not allowed to be with another household in a pub or restaurant.

Of course if you happen to be there at the same time, bellowing across the room, then that's just coincidence.

Oh the BBC does say "People in those areas can only go to pubs and restaurants with other members of their household".

As has been mentioned already, this is basically the tory plan. Lay down guidelines, let the public decide, know that the public won't be able to follow and then blame the people for it.

It wasn't Boris' fault we are all idiots. They just did their best!

Yes. I'm sure all those lads will follow this on Friday evening. :eyes:

1000 deaths in Japan...

(to date)

but anyway people are freaking out, we are currently peaking higher than before. I mean it’s all relative, we didn’t really get much of a ripple the first time. My new contract was postponed too, so no money for Diddy

It would appear that I am not allowed to go to my mum's this weekend, not even to her garden to see her through a window, but I am allowed to go to a pub, supermarket, travel on public transport, go to work, and no longer need to shield after today.

It's fucking bobbins and I'm planning on going round to my mum's on Sunday for chinese as previously arranged. Arrest me, right now I don't care.
