More deaths in the second wave than the first now. And the daily total is still climbing.
 
I had to go For a no Symptom free test today, was surprisingly dead there and the girl said people here don’t seem to bother but got a negative in an hour which is good so I can continue to lock myself at home
 
Laura K's report on BBC now about Boris' appearance at the Health Select Committee. "He was unusually direct and didn't use his usual flowery language" - RIVETING.
 
Did the home test yesterday which was really quick and easy so just waiting for the results. If the flatmate hadn't lost her taste/smell I wouldn't even be suspecting Covid because this feels exactly like Flu, including the stuffy nose.
 
Apparently there are "issues with publishing death data" today.

That's probably a holding statement for "it's very high and we are looking how to massage the numbers down"

I don't know what it will achieve beyond creating jams in the supermarkets between 5pm and 6pm.

But at least it's not a lockdown in the day.
 
We are getting quite close to 2 million global deaths. The delay in releasing today's number could be because they are trying to make sure that the two millionth death is British. They're probably hoping to win a Moopy mug.

Well, again - their fault. They massaged and clipped and fiddled with the figures in the first wave so that they didn't have to announce a figure over 1000. Maybe if they hadn't done that, people would have got a proper fright and we wouldn't be here now.

But then again, given Cummings, Eat Out To Help Out and the "back to work and buy sandwiches, scum!" phase, probably not.

You know what, love you, but calm down. It’s just not going to help. Every post is just anger about the admittedly terrible people running this country. And I get it. But it ain’t going to help you. xoxo and all that.

Honestly just like flu at the moment. Extreme fatigue, wet cough, earache etc. but I’ve certainly had it worse. I managed to binge The Queen’s Gambit on Wednesday whereas last time I had flu about 5 years ago I couldn’t even concentrate.

Ok take it easy, I've had a few people tell me that sipping on warm water continually helps. Try and eat what you can to keep your strength up x

We're supposed to have the lateral flow twice a week, but they only sent 4 for a team of 40.

But yes you're right. There is a local one so I'll go, probably have to be tomorrow now as I don't have childcare today
