what's weird is how it seems like they are a pretty small and niche organisation really in terms of members (looking at the numbers probably less than 100k around the world) but must be raking in the cash fucking big time. their London HQ cost £23m just to buy. do their members just contribute endless money for these bullshit pseudo science technologies and procedures? how do they snare the rich and famous in the first place?

Sadly not. Scientologists believe that any sickness or disease you get is due to past life trauma/offences, so the only way to cure it is by auditing. No such as chemotherapy (big pharma!) or other cancer treatments.

I didn't know Elisabeth Moss was born into it. Literally groomed all her life to become famous so she can be an ambassador for the cause. So sad.
I don't quite understand how they have such strong links in Hollywood though. Aside from a handful of actors, they must have some producer and agent connections to infiltrate the way they have. Not that Hollywood is all goodness and light, but it doesn't gel well with fake religions.

You make it sound like Scientology is why she’s famous. Also she doesn’t really talk about it or promote it.
It certainly helped. And she does promote it by leaving the room when an SP wins an Emmy.

Watch Seasons 2 & 3 of Leah’s documentary! She abandons the therapy session format of the first season and gets into the proper juicy stuff. She even travels to Clearwater, the city in Florida that Scientology have taken over, and gets the police called on her for sitting in a park
Also her podcast is iconic. Just hours of her dragging Scientology. She even outs John Travolta in the first five minutes of episode one!

They had just opened their centre in Madrid (right next to the RITZ HOTEL
) so they were doing OPEN SESSIONS for publicity I guess.My friend was working on a story for University about them and wanted to go but was afraid to go on her own so I volunteered to go along.
They had hired a full theatre and reconverted it to some sort of exhibition centre with a GIANT photo of Ron Hubbard onstage. There were several booths where they gave you 1-2-1 talks and "measured your stress levels"
There was even A BED onstage which we didn't see being used but was creepy as fuck.Throughout the whole thing there was some TAPE with WEIRD SOUNDS playing and me and my friend were convinced they were sending SUBLIMINAL MESSAGES to BRAINWASH you.

You can go straight into Season 2. Season 1 is more about people who have been disconnected from their families etc so it’s a bit of a DOWNER. Season 2 is where they get into the XENU of it all.
It’s a subscription/streaming service that contains all the Real Housewives episodes as well as a PLETHORA of other reality TV. It’s £4.99/month which is very good value if you’re into bingeing utter TRASH for hours on end.
