Not even sure I know that. I've only ever liked two songs by her, ROAR, and that one where she's in a theme park in the video that has a really good message that I can't remember the name of.

I know this is an unpopular opinion but I find Crystallize a bit juvenile (well I do now). I think the video may have something to do with it.
 
I still like the tinkly Into the Blue. She could have had a real moment if she'd Geru'd it out with the Scotland flag body-painted on her a la Dario G at the Commonwealth, but I guess the safe, pedestrianess of it all is what caps it off at around the 7-8 mark.
 
Oh Feels So Good. That song just fills up and hugs my soul, I like the open-ended longing and satisfaction it conveys. My number one choice.
 
As I've ranted previously, Kiss Me Once is a HORRIBLE album. The nadir of her trend-chasing, A&R'd to within an inch of its life post-Body Language extended slump period.

That being said, I adore the title track and if I ever got married I would quite like it to be the first dance.
 
The title track still resurrects my 80s nostalgia for Kylie moments like Je ne sais pas poirquoi. It ripples, glows and flows.

Actually, no it's a 10. The lyrics really do pack a slap.
 
Of her post-2000 albums, Kiss Me Once is the one I’m least likely to listen to as a whole, even if it has some great songs
 
I'm not sure I even bothered with the Kiss Me Once era. It felt like the ultimate in 6/10, rubbishgai level going through the motions.

However the exception to that is I Was Gonna Cancel, which REMAINS on the playlist to this day :disco:

I mean I can't see it at all, from what I remember. It's probably not reflective of the whole project, but I just remember hearing some HORRIBLE country attempts, and I was just like OH KYLIE HUN WHY

It's like running away from a crime scene and then having to return YEARS LATER :(

I shall persist though. It's not like the journey ends flat. The finale has the potential to be QUITE SPECIAL :disco:

I'm glad only two singles were officially released, lol I Was Gonna Cancel DID kill the whole project stone dead! Didn't it chart outside the Top 100 or something?

I was agog back then even tried touting Sexy fucking Love as a possible single


At least Ricky Martin enjoyed it.

and OTT, but @funky I think at this point Katy Perry has more songwriting credits than Kylie, she's even given some of her own songs to other artists to record like Ariana Grande, Rita Ora, Britney Spears and Kelly Clarkson :o

I'd forgotten that on one album she had songs titled Sexercise, Les Sex, AND Sexy Love. Embarrassing. Acting like a horny teenage boy

This is definitely my least played Kylie album, though I still come back to Into The Blue and Les Sex a fair bit, albeit mostly via my running play list. In the annals of Kylie history I mostly see it as a necessary dud to get her to the next stage of her career - Golden and Disco - albums with a more cohesive sound that made her look like she had a bit of direction again.

Katy is most DEFINITELY one of those "contribute A WORD and get paid a THIRD" types though.

Oh she reached new heights for me with the whole set. Wait is indeed the best thing there, it really does let that voice of hers go somewhere more intricate and dazzling than usual, but when Glow goes full on Medline Ashton at the disco and Break this Hearthreak as a lava flow of Gina G and Moroder I'm equally unconscious. They've really endured for me actually.

I do like it (love the lyric "if I set you free and you actually came back to me...") but it's not one I actively seek out. She kind of picked up where she left off with this with "Lost Without You" on the next album.
 
If Only would have been great with better production.
It's a Kylie classic buried under a tonne of dated generic production.

Yeah, for some reason I bunch If Only together with Lost Without You (from Golden) and Say Something (from Disco) in that 80's film soundtrack inspired mould and I love all three of them.
