Mandys still asleep / hungover.
I'm making Christmas pudding fudge today![]()
Depends on the traffic. From Ryde to Cowes it's two buses, on a good day it takes about an hour. During the week with the traffic it can be up to 1.75 hours. How long does it take you to get to work? I thought you could cross the island in an hour!
By car you can get from one end to the other in about an hour tho!How long does it take you to get to work? I thought you could cross the island in an hour!

By car, the shortest is 30 mins.
Not at all. I have thought about it in the past but there's no real need. I'm a bit weird in that I love the bus. I sit on it, looking at the view listening to music. Are you interested in learning to drive?
What about weekends?Morning.
I cannot believe I only have 4 more days off of work until Christmas.![]()

I only go to work 3 days a week so I can cope with the bus those days. And the service on the island is really good.
Plus I have Mandy as a driver.
Do you drive?
). It takes me about an hour and 15 minutes when everything is fine. But it has already taken me +2h in the past. The next two yes, then it's non-stop from 21 November - 22 December. What about weekends?

oh that's really shit!Yeah I can imagine with kids it's very much needed.Yes with the children I find it quite essential, although I know people do manage on the bus! I average about 25 miles a day with work, school/ nursery and various clubs!
oh that's really shit!
What do you do for a living?
I signed up for it and very often, I enjoy it, so I don't want to complain too much - but you put your life on hold for several months each year, no doubt.

My commute depends on where I'm working each day. It's between 45 minutes and 90 minutes each way depending on where I am. And assuming the bus turns up. It's been 2 hours plus at least once a week for the last couple of months. F*cking sick of it.

Would the time and money saved on the commute be worth it?A job is being advertised 1 mile from me, but it'd be a demotion as such![]()

Mine is 90 minutes each way everyday and I swear it’s gonna be the death of meMy commute depends on where I'm working each day. Does it fit your life better, though?A job is being advertised 1 mile from me, but it'd be a demotion as such![]()
I get it. It's a hard decision. Is it a big demotion? Do you enjoy where you are?Probably for anyone else yes, but I don't know how I would cope as I feel I've worked so hard to get to where I am. I know with my skills I'd be a real asset to someone else. I worry I wouldn't be happy and then I wouldn't be able to go back to where I am![]()
Do you drive or use public transport?Mine is 90 minutes each way everyday and I swear it’s gonna be the death of me![]()
