Sunday is terrorised by rats

And this must be my first daily thread in YEARS
 
We're off to some outdoor dogshow/singing/stalls festival thing today. I'm not overly excited but I've heard a rumour there may be a plant stall there, so I'm a bit more excited. Plus there's Pimm's
 
About 2.30pm on a Sunday seems to be the sweet spot for reductions at the local Co-op here. Much later than that it's just seafood sticks and bean sprouts.
 
I did manage to get 5 chicken and mushroom Pukka pies for TEN PENCE EACH from the little Sainsburys behind the train station on Friday night though :disco:

At full price the horribly Jamie Oliver name would put me off. But TEN PENCE!
 
I genuinely don’t know how you’re coping, the one day it went over 40 in London was hell.
 
It's easier for humans, cold showers, cold drinks etc, i don't know how cats handle it, am giving them refrigerated wet food today and throwing some icecubes in their water cause it's warm like piss after 5 minutes if I don't.
 
Generally it is more manageable abroad. Most places have air conditioning, and swimming pools as well as many beaches available to jump in the sea to cool off. The UK isn’t really catered for hot hot weather at all.
 
Also it is a better heat. In Scotland other than the few nice weeks before the schools went on holiday when it has been warm it is a MUGGY HEAT like it will break in to a thunder storm at any given moment.
 
Fortunately or unfortunately the only RATS that I have had near me are LOVE RAT MEN.

That's true unless it's a weekend in which case you know the chances of finding a shade at the beach are zeroish. There's a beach in about 500 meters but I'll be going to after 18:00 to avoid being airfried.
 
I'm so over the rain now, there's a split in the gutter-joint above the kitchen window so when it rains heavily there's a waterfall that hits the outside windowledge and it makes an awful racket. I'd love to be able to repair it but I need it dry first and it's been raining for weeks. Also the front garden needs cutting and now I have an electric mower the grass needs to be dry for at least a couple of days first.

It's not even warm here, I've had to get a jumper out and am considering getting my big coat out of the cupboard.
 
I live less than one minute’s walk from numerous supermarkets and I’m always ordering deliveries on Getir. Eight cans of Tyskie? Oh go on then :disco:
 
It is like 15 degrees here. WHAT IS GOING ON? At least it’s dry.
