Going to a mates to finish off festive food, I did weigh up a techno soire but no one i know is going
 
I might have booze tonight.

Hell, I'm an adult who can make my own decisions. I might have booze immediately.

When I first moved in with Mr L we had old friends of his living literally around the corner. They were fabulously generous hosts who had small gatherings every year, and that was pretty much perfect for me. But they moved well over a decade ago, and I think we've been out on NYE perhaps two or three times since.

The idea of going OUT OUT on NYE fills me with dread.
 
I think a pub on NYE could be fun if it was within short walking distance and not in a city centre. With a cosy cubby.

Alas we're going to a small party that I'm not very excited about but I'll bring some boardgames.

Oh me too. Absolutely hideous. I hated it when I was young, I hate it now. Last time I went out out on NYE was easily 15 years ago.

The last time I went OUT OUT on NYE was in fact 26 years ago to the day when I first copped off with Mr L :disco:
 
We had them on the common last night about 10pm in the most ridiculous wind. I was watching from my bed as they happily blew from the “safe” area of the common basically into the residential area to the right.
 
Somebody was setting them off here at 11:30 this morning. First of all - WHAT are you going to see? And secondly - it's gale force winds! Who knows where it's going to end up?!

I have NEVER set off a firework!

They're fine, but I just don't give a shit. We were offered them for our wedding, but I don't see who that would have helped!
