Gladiators (BBC reboot)

Didn’t the old series have a slightly different Eliminator for the men? They’d have a more difficult hand bike rather than just the monkey bars.

Cannot wait for the Russian version :horny:

11 May.

I only know because for some reason I seem to be following a Russian bodybuilder who seems to be a ref on it.

The live shows seemed to have sold really well. Just a smattering of single seats around (from the two venues I can be bothered to look at)

FUCKING YES MATE

Though tbh I thought s3 was announced months ago. I'd have been fretting otherwise.

I want some sort of International Glad competition too. There was the Ashes against Oz back in the day wasn't there and then Springbox against the SA Glads, And then proper International with US and other countries, US Gladiators is back isn't it? They were great loved seeing our Gladiators and contenders against the rest of the world.

The reboot of the Oz series a couple years ago was terrible, was like a budget version of our Sky One reboot. Although they did bring back Pyramid and used it for the Eliminator too which I thought was INSPIRED :disco:

I'd prefer it in international programmes the Gladiators battled against each other and left out contenders entirely.

There was a US Gladiator called Zap?

Camp!

I can't stand the guys and the washing up liquid advert one. I hope Legend will have recovered from his injury for it at least seeing as he's out early in the upcoming civilian series.

As someone else said on popjustice, where I read this, I imagine they'll find a way of still using him for a skit bit or two.

They need to delete the new series, and film it all again when he's better!!! @BBC @DepartmentOfCultureMediaAndSport

My friend's 8 year old son loves Giant the most too? Clearly kids are FUCKING TASTELESS

I’m seeing the live tour in Liverpool tomorrow, not sure who the Gladiators will be but pretty sure we’re getting Joey Fishburn 🤤 🤤

We had a good roster of Gladiators. I thought it would be quite d-list but we had Giant, Viper, Apollo, Fury, Diamond, Sabre and some others.

Our contestants included Muz and that married couple.

Giants glutes were insane IRL. Shame we didn’t have Legend. I think he’d have brought the house down.

The events were The Wall, Duel, Power ball and Gauntlet followed by a FULLY REALISED eliminator which was quite thrilling to watch!

Apollo tried to do this catchphrase… I think it was like “if you want it… come and get it”. The crowd were supposed to do the “come and get it” part but it fell absolutely dead on its arse. tbh im not surpsied. I don’t recall it?

I hope that discourages his "banter". Maybe if Glad III doesn't happen (I'm hoping it does), Legend can get Strictly. I need that ass on TV somehow.

Legend will be on Loose Women today. In the preview I just saw on This Morning he was in his lycra.
Legend is also on Richard Osman’s Christmas House of Games this week.

Giving him the gift of a novelty apron with a six pack torso was amusing.

Not Mariella Fostrup comparing Legend to TRUMP on Loose Women :D

Just caught up with Celeb Gladiators. I enjoyed it but annoyed it was down to 4 events, wasn't the reboot 5 events and then the Eliminator?

Also Vogue not being able to complete the rope then her winning was questionable. Yes she completed it first but she wasn't ABLE to actually complete it all :D
