Holy Christ.

I was incredibly angry because a (admittedly crap effort) joke I made ‘at’ a thread -not at an individual - i’d have used quotes - was taken in the worst way possible. Being perceived like that was mortifying.

The day drinking is also an annoying comment but a fair comment.

For some hours after that I was deeply upset about that comment and I asked to be scorched Earthed. I doubt I will use this site in the same way moving forwards, so killing that account draws a line under that usage for me.

I do think people should be able to request deletion. Even as I accept that immediately returning in any guise makes you look like a bit of a dick.

Thanks to those who kindly defended me.

It’s extremely difficult to the point of possibly stupid and foolish to try and crash a party that most of the guests have been at for decades and not expect that to go wrong, and I took a kamikaze approach to that. There we go. I am but human.

Essentially I really enjoy using italics as some of you may have noted and I couldn’t stick the landing and stay gone - i love them so.

As someone who has been in many arguments and had many strops and probably will again I have never personally felt the need to delete my account. This is me talking as someone who didn’t have anyone else publicly agreeing with my viewpoint. It can be difficult when you feel like you are out on your own but I have found a break always helps. It’s actually quite THERAPEUTIC from time to time.

It absolutely wasn’t. And I agree it didn’t seem like much, hence how staggering I found the response and how easily it seemed tossed there. It didn’t seem to be a wise or safe place to be for me in that moment. I understand though that someone was defending you, apparently aligned to another thread about personal safety, and they felt they needed and wanted to do that. I wish they had themselves stopped for a moment and reflected before launching such an elevated response. But there we go. Mostly I will just stick to reading the site in future. Take care.

I hope I don't come off as assaultive but I'm just curious to know why it would be necessary in any way to just be a window shopper going forward. or why you'd even come back if that's your intention.

your apology was accepted - as you said the crime was really minimal in the first place and didn't warrant any of this drama - now you're back within days but saying you'll mostly just read? there's a touch of martyrdom in this.

I thought it was very CHIVALROUS of Jyxz for looking out for me. You do you darling, and whatever makes you happy and in a good headspace. No beef here at all.

I'm not sure you've ever had mental health issues, but willpower is often in short supply, even when you don't, let alone when you do. Good for you, that you've apparently got willpower in abundance, but don't presume everyone has the same qualities. This isn't a shady/combatative post, just something to maybe think about.

For all the mental anguish Moopy seems to inflict on people it's only fair we start rehabilitating them.
