I assumed the quote from The Telegraph was just them being asked about this stuff mostly out of context (as the media loves to do).

Nice to know that we live in a world where irrelevant, has-been pop stars can drum up publicity simply by doing an interview with right wing press to stoke up hatred all while promoting “free speech”

Why is it that any singers (as well as other celebs) that come out as Terfs are all washed up hasbeens that no one really cares about anymore?

Hmm, it's almost as if they're looking for attention some other way because their music isn't selling...

For what it’s worth - apparently this was taken out of context and was a joke answer amid various other joke answers which kind of makes sense? For all Marina’s faults, I don’t think she is stupid enough to come out as a TERF as brazenly as this…

She's a bit "both sides" for my liking but I wouldn't have had her down as a TERF. Frankie Boyle is doing a public interview with her and he wouldn't do it if she was a transphobe.
