I got an invite from the Zoe symptom study to do so, but by last night was getting better (plus another negative lateral flow test despite a thorough poking) and at this point whatever it was has basically gone and just left, not to be graphic but "the occasional productive clearing of the throat". So whether it was dog particles, extreme pollen, a cold or covid, it's dead and being ejected at this pointIf you are concerned, literally just lie about symptoms and book a test. I’ve done it.
I don’t feel guilty about doing so as the testing centre near me almost always has a fair number of appointments.

Ooh government data now has a vaccination map available which goes down to the same level as the cases map: https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/interactive-map/vaccinations
Another thing for me to watch obsessively and fret over. Thank you.Ooh government data now has a vaccination map available which goes down to the same level as the cases map: https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/interactive-map/vaccinations
Oh just ignore it, everyone else seems to be.The director at the Drama school I work at has tested positive. The most worrying thing for her is that she's late into her pregnancy, but the symptoms aren't bad.
We had training on Friday, but we weren't really in contact despite sharing the space, so I'm not concerned that I have it. It means that apparently I have 10 days isolation from Friday though. Friends are saying just to take regular tests, but I dunno how it works with incubation periods.

Well those Croydon uptake figures certainly explain why I was called so early to get mine.Ooh government data now has a vaccination map available which goes down to the same level as the cases map: https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/interactive-map/vaccinations

If you've been told to isolate, you have to isolate. The director at the Drama school I work at has tested positive. The most worrying thing for her is that she's late into her pregnancy, but the symptoms aren't bad.

OK yes do this, forget what I said.If you've been told to isolate, you have to isolate.
Even if you test negative, you still isolate. The result doesn't matter.
Exactly what I had last week (and from the previous Friday), except mine was from the app.
We were told by the director that as far as she knows we have to isolate. I just tested and I'm negative so I expect I'm fine, but will isolate regardless. If you've been told to isolate, you have to isolate.

From next month, contacts of people who test positive won’t have to isolate if they’re double-jabbed but for now unfortunately it’s still the case.We were told by the director that as far as she knows we have to isolate. I've just read the delta variant is now dominant in 4 states
Fuck that's quick. And it's not even like the four states where it was dominant only a week ago are heavily populated. It’s now reached 51% of cases in the country
Do you mean they haven't had a good uptake of vaccines, or vaccinated people are getting Covid? It’s incredible how bad the numbers are for vaccinated adults in Trump/red states. Those places are going to have a very long winter.

It’s “funny” because I thought I was asymptomatic when I had covid, but it took a good 3 months for my lung strength (while running mostly) to be back to normalThere needs to be more said about Long Covid in the young, because even young people who had very mild symptoms initially are having some severe cardiac issues months down the line![]()
