I did see a warning from a senior medical person of some sort that reporting was more patchy at the weekend and they expected a rise. It's still a shocking figure.

Well, I now have a full month of working from home. Furlong cancelled. Part of me is naturally disappointed at not being able to just slob around on 80% pay, but the other part of me is glad to be valued. Gives me a hopefully-not-false sense of job security that they'd rather pay as to them the difference is between 100% pay and 0% pay. To still be wanted even in a time of crisis is quite comforting.

I have been watching the Switzerland figures ( for no other reason that the are below us on the worldometer chart) and they seemed to have peaked and the numbers dropping significantly now. Did they do anything differently from us or are they ahead of us in terms of first transmission of cases?

I saw something yesterday that although we're increasing, the RATE OF INCREASE has actually slowed. So rather than doubling every two days like we were a fortnight ago, it's doubling every three days now (or something).
