Harry Potter: the TV series

Am I the only one who's NEVER liked Harry Potter? The Prisoner of Azkaban was actually what finally made me like reading, but I dropped it after about 3 books because it was so corny. I was more of a Christopher Pike Point Horror girly. I liked my literature nasty.

I watched maybe 2 or 3 of them with a friend around 10 years ago (probably talked all over them), but they left absolutely no impression on me. I remain ambivalent.

I’ve only seen the first half of the first film which I gave up on. Never been inclined to read any of the books because I was already 15 when the first one was published. if I was either younger or a lot older at the time maybe it would have been different, but I can’t even abide by LOTR, so it probably wouldn’t appeal either way.

I watched the first film. Hard whatever from me.

Never cared for it, so Joanne being a nasty oaf wasn't too challenging.

I was the wrong age for Harry Potter although I remember thinking it was cool in the late 90s that there was a book series that kids were that excited about. I've said it before, I feel the same way about Harry Potter fans as I do about Morrissey fans; I know it was difficult at first but if you're still handing over cash now or wearing the merch or putting quotes in your bio at this stage in the game, you're an irredeemable prick.

Seriously, that just looks like the film except with a few extra scenes added to pad the runtime. What the fuck is the point of this other than to launch the career of the shockingly offputting lead actor?
