2nd: Sunstroke Project & Olia Tira - Run Away (149pts)
A funny one, this. At the time, it was a diverting also-ran that just barely scraped into the finals (3 points more for Finland and this whole thing may never have happened!) and ended up in 22nd place. But sometime between then and now, the internet got hold of 'Epic Sax Guy' (as he came to be known) and his hypnotic pelvic thrusting, and lo a meme was born.
The song's just OK really. It feels much more Eurovision and less genuinely chart-ready than their follow-up, but the sax hook IS legitimately the best bit. I bet the woman is well bitter these days. Talk about OVERSHADOWED.

1st: DoReDos - My Lucky Day (199pts)
In which Dannii Minogue, a sexy cub and the ghost of Aram MP3 transform a mildly diverting ditty into one of the most charming Eurovision performances of recent years with an inspired bit of panto choreography.
Sorry to be all I WAS THERE, but this came straight after Russia in the running order, and after three consecutive helpings of Julia Samoylova's bleatings in the first rehearsals, this reveal was like MANNA from HEAVEN. I've rarely heard the press centre erupt so much.
A rightful win, I feel. Not Moldova's biggest hit, but certainly the one that most effectively captures their uniquely daffy charm. May they continue to roll out delightful tat like this until they miss one electricity bill too many and the entire country gets sold off for scrap.
