I Found Heaven just sounds like some old tat Ian Levine had down the back of the drawer from his Motorcity days.
 
Just watching the hits of 1994 show now. This year jumping with the weekly shows is messing with me a little.

That Confide In Me performance still gives me chills. Totally forgotten what a boner I had for her violinist as well.
 
The difference between What Kind of Fool from 92 a few weeks ago and Confide Kylie was quite something.

I was amused at them unceremoniously cutting off Peter Cunnah and co at the end

Erasure LIVE BY SATELLITE featuring Andy Bell arse cheek and an immobile Vince Clarke in drag was the highlight of that double bill.

Dr Alban. Had actually forgotten "It's My Life" was a rap song because I haven't heard anything other than the chorus in a dozen tampon adverts for about 25 years.
 
I still think Brian May is a cunt for releasing "Too Much Love Will Kill You" within a year of Freddie Mercury's death. It's one thing to be a tone deaf but that's just arseholery.

We're up to Bjorn Again. I'm not particularly a fan of their A Little Respect, but releasing Erasure-ish was a masterstroke for them.

It really was. That's what really sealed them as THE ABBA tribute act. They were playing very big venues in the 90s.
 
The episode I'm on is one of the most forgettable I've yet watched - barely a thing worth commenting on.
 
This is an awful performance from Boy George. Take heed kids - smoking too much weed will screw yr vocal cords.
 
Well, I'd driven this terrible version of "I Feel Love" from my mind. How can you make *that* song sound so flat, so rigid?
 
Sounds like Boy George could at least hear himself in the monitors 2nd time...
 
Suede. Absolutely majestic. Given this episode and the last couple, it's no wonder they caught so many eyes and ears. I saw them on the tour for this single and it was absolutely wild. Good memories, brilliant single.

The Story of 1995 really didn't need any time on Cast. Honestly I'm sure they could have hauled any of N-Trance on who had a significantly bigger and longer lasting hit.

Yes they said at the start of the show 1995 wasn't all about Britpop, but then that was all they covered. At least David Mcalmont, Louise Wener and Shaun Ryder are good interviews.
 
No new episodes on iPlayer, so watching Hits of 1994. Absolutely jam packed.

One of the worst bands ever. Potentially worse than Ocean Colour Scene but the latter keep on going - at least Cast took the hint and split.
 
Right then...Stereo MCs, this was decent. Nice that they plugged in the mixing desk for authenticity despite it being obvious there's nothing plugged into the damn thing.
 
These are so good just to zone out to. I have 1993 on. Reggae was rife and most never did it for me. Apart from Ace of Base of course :basil: Was just lovely to see Urban Cookie live. Omg and now Gabs - I remember this one well. I had a compilation cassette at the time (purple or navy cover and not a Now) that I'd pretend was the Eurovision Song Contest and my entry was always Dreams.
 
Crowded House have the look of men who've been on tour for a bit too long. They probably had.
 
I'm still waiting on the channel 4 series The Jo Whiley show to properly be uploaded onto youtube, but always remember the face on MJB after Grabrielle had done an acapella (thankfully taped), the first time we ever got the Xtina holding her hand out story and, best of all, saying "we got some bull in here tonight" after H explained his songwriting process.
 
I had completely forgotten this Tetris atrocity. Actually looks like a parody.
 
The Beloved. God he was beautiful. Nice bottom, good jawline, peircing eyes that look pickled and slightly bashed in nose, all the while projecting all 1 tenth of an octave. Oh shut up it's Robyn S.
