When you’re trying to cross a busy road, just a little bit too far away from diverting to an island/pedestrian crossing, but the traffic is slow so it’s pretty safe. But then cars actively speed up so you can’t cross, even though they’re clearly heading towards a traffic jam.
 
Also when there’s one car with a nice big gap behind it before some other cars so you wait for it to pass but it slows down to a crawl so that the ones behind catch it up :manson:
