The United Kingdom: The Liz Truss CRASHING THE PORK MARKET WEEKS 🐷🐖📉📅🥬 (1 Viewer)

If they could just move the Spanish border a bit to the right and make Southampton a foreign country...

I’m ready

I’ve touched on this on another thread about reality tv but do we think that because Liz is a woman she gets a rougher ride than if she was a man?

Sure she’s fucked stuff up but to be fair she’s inherited the country in probably it’s worse state it has ever been in so it was on a downward trajectory anyway. Plus she’s only been in the post a few weeks and with the Queen dying and now conference season she hasn’t actually had much time to do anything.

I’m not excusing her by any means but I do think Boris had a much easier ride than her, or Theresa for that matter.
No.

I'm not too sure of the geography (I assume @Ag will be able to oblige), but wouldn't this leave France and Belgium feuding over who doesn't get Jaywick?

Jaywick would be just on the French side. Clacton would be border territory and therefore hotly disputed. Ipswich too.

Did she think she’d get an EASIER RIDE? :D

Quite proud of our Leeds host for this incredibly hostile opening.

There is a point to be made about how easy a ride Johnson got and the various reasons for that. But these interview clips alone tell the story. Truss is terrible. Absolutely terrible. I could almost get nostalgic for Cameron at this rate. How can anyone have confidence in a PRIME MINISTER who just burbles from a script and is literally silenced by any question that deviates from that?

The fact that so many people who've worked with her in the past describe her as 'mad' is really quite telling. She's fundamentally unsuitable for the job in a quite different way to Johnson.

Her first days have been remarkably different to Johnson's as well. Seems like an age ago now but he was proroguing an up in arms Parliament, "getting Brexit done" and trying to wangle a No Deal scenario. His questioning was a lot more about how he expecting to bring Parliament back to together and political peace.

Truss meanwhile is doing *waves arms around*... This. Her questioning is about literally saving the economy and our physical lives
