The thought that Grayling had been touted for the role by the govt was genuinely worrying. I’m quite pleased he’s been shafted.

It seems like Downing Street’s response to Lewis is like using a sledgehammer to crack a walnut. They now have a committee chair that has no loyalties to the govt and have potentially pissed off their own backbenchers in the process. SAD!

I'm 99% sure this'll be one of those 'the committee found that there was collusion between THE KREMLIN and... [63 pages of tip-ex]... went faberge egg shopping with Ghislaine Maxwell. The end.' but I still live for any drama.

Are we all looking forward to the shitshow about to erupt over the Russia report as the Tories try to deflect as much as possible? I see the Scottish Independence referendum is already being talked up as an issue.

I'll be curious how much is redacted and if there is anything properly damaging or if it will just be another Mueller report style semi-flop.

Looks like any juicy stuff is redacted but it really sticks the knife in to the UK government for not even trying to investigate Russian interference or trying to properly defend against it.

The big takeaway is that Russia interfered in the Scotland referendum so didn’t bother to check the Brexit referendum because they’d almost certainly find they’d interfered there as well.

Does this mean we remain and Scotland go independent now?

From the Telegraph:

Boris Johnson has launched a search for a new £100,000-a-year spokesman to become the face of the Government in regular televised press conferences from this autumn

:manson: Just when I think I can’t be surprised any more we get shit like this. So he’ll be able to hide from any scrutiny even more.

The fucking state of it. He looks like Sir Bernard Chumley having a shit, and she's the exasperated home help who's only there to make sure he remembers to pull his trousers down this time.

This lump of fuck is our prime minister. Actual humans voted for it.

This is the guy who Theresa "this is what a feminist looks like" May restored the whip to while he was being investigated for sex crimes so she wouldn't lose a vote of confidence :manson:

you’re probably too young to remember Baron Greenback from Dangermouse
Boris Johnson and Baron Greenback. One of them is a greedy, amoral scumbag, willing to stoop to almost any lengths of villainy. The other, of course, is a cartoon toad.

In a blow to the Scottish Tories, Jackson Carlaw resigned as leader this afternoon saying he wasn’t best placed to lead them into the elections next year or make the case for the Union. He only replaced Ruth Davidson in February.

What an absolute cock up. :D

The Boris one looks more like his dad.

The Cummings one is evil.

Is Cummings meant to be the Mekon or Ming the Merciless? Either way we all love an up to date cultural reference :eyes:

To be fair Tebbit was portrayed as a Nazi and that was legendary.

Yeah, Darren Grimes has already taken to Twitter to complain about it like the snivelling little streak of shit he is.

And using it to attack the BBC and the licence fee, despite the fact that it's made by an independent company at the request of Britbox, which is 90% owned and controlled by ITV.

Wanker.

That's his whole schtick. He knows he's a snivelling little skidmark on the white Calvin Kleins of humanity and he loves irritating people.

Darren Grimes knows that it's an ITV series but he doesn't care because his target audience hate the BBC on account of reasons. We should all avoid giving him the oxygen of publicity. Or, to steal a line from Linda Smith, the oxygen of oxygen.
