I don't think that one will stick so much. Christmas is such a huge thing in the UK psyche, having a few folk in the garden during that first lockdown won't bite as hard.

Either he should resign for breaking the rules from the very start or he should resign for bringing his baby to a very important business meeting (in the garden with cheese and bottles of wine).

to be fair the baby likely has more intellect than anyone else present, so i'd say its contribution was invaluable.

I see that Propagandist-in-Chief Laura K is leaving her post. She is either being given Andrew Marr's slot, or taking up her rightful place on GB News.

I assume it's the Marr slot. Sophie Raworth is covering from January but they've made clear that's only an interim thing.

Unless she's bringing back Andrew Neil's Thursday night show and having Abbott and Portillo wedged onto that sofa again!

When you take yourself out of it and look at the big picture, this is the delayed case of a clown politician catastrophically out of his depth and his dodgy past finally catching up with him. It’s Trump all over again, minus the riots. Ours is a much more British affair: death by media.

Watching him squirm in all these interviews is delicious. Usually he’s just being his daft oaf self and washing everything aside with a wink and a deflection. He just can’t wash these stories off anymore. He looks so damaged.

lockdown coming tomorrow, then.

Boris is running out of distractions at this point though. There's only so many times you can make up a new rule.
Why would he need an extra distraction? Everyone's doing Christmas shopping/preparations - locking down to ruin that would be the equivalent of shooting everyone's cats to come up with a dead cat :D
