The fact that he's having to put out APOLOGY STATEMENTS splashed all over twitter like some sort of reality star is SO EMBARRASSING

You tried to clarify your position today but, despite my urging, you did not apologise for the misleading impression you gave.’

Oh that one is a BLOW to him. Munira Mirza is seriously important to his Downing Street operation (and a fucking dreadful Spiked veteran, but that's by the by). Even if he survives all this, the man is barely going to politically be in charge anymore.

Actually floored at Lynton Crosby doing the "new phone, who dis?" routine with Boris AFTER he used bringing him back to get MPs back onside and show his operation was going to get sorted out (and briefed it out three times!!!!!). It's falling apart in real-time!

Any hope he might have had that he could turn the tide of public opinion must have long since evaporated; you don’t get this many guns turned against you from your own ranks if there’s a chance you’re still electable.
