Half past 8? Fine by me.

I really can’t wait for the butchering he’s going to get at the May elections now.He intends to be prime minister until 2030 apparently![]()

Uhm. Does he not see what the logical conclusion of his own statement is? (Of course not)I was making a point about his responsibility for the organisation as a whole, and I think people can can see that.
So he’s sent waves of MPs out to debase themselves by defending his lie in the media, only to retract it and make them look like a bunch of brown nosing cunts. I love it.
In a letter to the Prime Minister, Mirza writes:
‘I believe it was wrong for you to imply this week that Keir Starmer was personally responsible for allowing Jimmy Savile to escape justice. There was no fair or reasonable basis for that assertion. This was not the usual cut and thrust of politics; it was an inappropriate and partisan reference to a horrendous case of child sex abuse. You tried to clarify your position today but, despite my urging, you did not apologise for the misleading impression you gave.’

“Even now, I hope you find it in yourself to apologise for a grave error of judgement made under huge pressure. I appreciate that our political culture is not forgiving when people say sorry, but regardless, it is the right thing to do. It is not too late for you but, I’m sorry to say, it is too late for me.
Yours sincerely,
Munira”
What a way to end the letter![]()

Was literally coming to post that piece just now - it goes SO HARDOne civil servant responded to the news by saying “My god. She was the only one I felt actually liked him”

Munira Mirza’s resignation is a hammer blow to Boris Johnson
The departure of the Prime Minister’s longest-serving aide makes it harder than ever for him to survive.www.newstatesman.com

This day could only get better with a press conference from Graham Brady saying he's got the letters at this point.
And yet he still wont go until hes pushed screaming, his flabby arms waving as he descends into voidAny hope he might have had that he could turn the tide of public opinion must have long since evaporated; you don’t get this many guns turned against you from your own ranks if there’s a chance you’re still electable.
I mean, losing every job you’ve had because you’re a pathological liar isn’t the strongest CV. Sadly, he’ll land on his feet anyway. And yet he still wont go until hes pushed screaming, his flabby arms waving as he descends into void
(And then another well paid job)
