Priti Patel, the home secretary, is considering standing in the Tory leadership contest, according to Esther Webber at Politico. “[Patel has] long been a darling of the Tory grassroots and may feel this is her moment, although her time in charge of the Home Office has not convinced everyone she’s a steady hand on the tiller,” Webber writes.

Tom Tugendhat seems like the least offensive based on what I've read.

Probably the least worst option. The big worry with him is that he's got a truly dreadful record on the environment.

Yeah that is probably the floor (c. 30%).

Suspect the notional swing seat figures @Soldi posted above would be even worse when factoring in tactical voting and a likely larger anti-Tory swing in the South (so SE seats with large majorities go but as do Red Wall () seats in the North with sub 5k majorities). On that basis they may be at 200 or fewer.

If I'd spent fifteen grand on a pair of sofas, I'm quite certain I'd have hoped the fabric was included in the price.

Based on the invoice, this is probably the £2250 kitchen wallpaper :zombie:
