Yes.Based on the TITLE?

That’s what I want to avoid - that sort of Madladz song died with Milkshake Man last year. People who’ve heard it have said there’s Britpop and electro in there. The whole “novelty” thing is a red herring. We used to send “oh Eurovision is shite” novelty crap (Scooch, Daz Sampson etc) but it’s been a while and if it’s done well (Netta, Cha Cha Cha…) then I don’t see why we can’t send something along those lines. Albeit that the card has been played quite hard elsewhere in recent times.
I think most "novelty" or "joke" entries over the years, even back to the 70s, have had something to say or have been satirising something, so I do appreciate that it's quite a lazy label. It's just not an aesthetic I massively want to encourage too much of.But even Austria has a message, doesn't it? It stands apart from novelty for me because of that.
It sounds VERY British but also like something I'd never have expected us to send in a million years.Lumpy, weirdly low-energy, actively unpleasant, never-ending
And this year I don’t even have to embellish it. This is so me-coded it’s like I’m being thanked for decades of fruitless optimism.I live for ButterTart's annual unbridled enthusiasm for the UK entry no matter what post![]()
