Dermot, do your spin, cue the suspense music bed, announce it and let's get Konnie Huq in for the aftershow x x

CNN is now more confident about Pennsylvania and Georgia than they are about Arizona and Nevada

I’m nervous. And confused.

Even ASFM results shows don’t take this long.

Carole somehow getting ALL the political HOT GOSS before anybody else in the world :D

"WAIT! Let's just call CAROLE RADZIWILL before Associated Press, her Twitter account is the worlds premieré source of election updates" :disco:

Weirdly, I have two contradictory conspiracy theories in my head.

Multiple States are being deliberately slow so they don't have to be that state, just like our Carole here.

The other is that Fox News deliberately called Arizona too early so it could be wrong and then create the environment for Trumps nonsense.

Both obvious nonsense, but I've caught myself thinking both multiple times.

The Fox News one came from Associated Press calling it first, so that is officially DEBUNKED!
The Arizona confusion stems from it was revealed that there was a mistake in the voting tallies % reported processed when AP called it for Biden. It's interesting AP have since remained behind their call for Biden however.

@ZenGiraffe I DO agree there may be something in certain states being reluctant to reveal results right now however, especially Nevada and Arizona due to the protests going on at various sites. There must be a genuine concern for safety - particularly in Nevada where we apparently getting a Trump press conference at 5pm.

This is not implausible but it's the AP that were calling Arizona not Fox.

Oh I see I'm as SLOW as @ButterTart today.

It's a website which specialises in analysing opinion polls. It's widely considered to one of the most impartial and credible sources of poll data.

@Nancy Named after the total number of electoral college votes available. 270 out of 538 is the minimum for a majority.

If I'm interpreting things correctly, the most likely outcome today is that Nevada and Georgia declare, which takes Biden over the threshold if he wins both.
