I really loved Less, it was so funny and charming. I never bothered with Less is Lost though since it just sounds like more of the same... he does have a new book out I've noticed but I think it sounds a bit overly cosy...

Less was wonderful. Loss is Lost, not so much.

THE END OF EVERYTHING

Despised this too. It sets up an interesting premise and then just doesn't bother to do anything with it. Sets up a ton of mysteries and doesn't even attempt to explain them.

I've since learned that the author has never had much of a relationship with PLOT

Need to find a nice safe read because three duds in a row is never fun.

An old classic: Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier.

Currently hate reading the evilly long (672 pages ) Doom Painting by AK Blakemore. I’m only persevering as it’s an ARC. I absolutely ADORED their last book (The Glutton) but this one just isn’t my bag - 1381 Peasants revolt anyone?
