XMAS + Christmas (Fully Wrapped Edition) - XMAS #1! (1 Viewer)

I wonder if there were as many scalpers there as there were at the Tension store. Given how prices on eBay dropped quite sharply within a few weeks last time, I'd guess not.

I read something about multiple people having number 10/1000 of one of the limited editions.

I'm surprised that people seem so keen to buy signed copies of hers generally any more, considering they seem pretty easy to get hold of. I wouldn't want a signature/photo any more unless it was signed for me personally.

Also I could understand a pop-up shop for Tension but to have one for what is a repackage of an existing album? Really?

They also had one for Kylie Christmas (which was quite good) and it’s a successor to that as well.

It’s less about the Kylie brand here and more about the sponsorship she’s had from Battersea Power Station - she turned on the lights there and the ice skating and launched the shop. The idea is more based on benefitting them than her. (My friend has been running the launch, so I happen to have had this discussion already.)

I imagine there’s an element of branding her as Queen of Christmas over here too, which I think is the legacy aim, in the way Mariah has managed in the US.

I must admit that, despite my lack of interest in this project, I did get one of the bundles from the website - really for the sake of completion, and also because there was a signed print. I've only got two signed Kylie items so I thought another would be nice, it arrived yesterday and I'm quite pleased with it. And at least with Kylie, she has a very nice signature, which is - crucially! - actually legible - I've bought signed items in the past (SEB, Will Young) and all you get is a squiggle and you wonder why the hell they bothered. Bananarama are another who do really nice signatures.

I don't really have any interest in signed items of ANYONE...other than, potentially, if they actually sign it for me personally. Said friend got me a signed Step Back In Time CD set when he was working for Magic and I flogged it for £100 recently, but I'd never part with my signed Kylie Fashion book she signed when I met her in New York.

Is an artist you love having a big hit with a shit song the same as that "the worst person you know just made a great point" meme?

To be fair, I wish her all the best. It's Kylie, don't mind at all- the more exposure she gets (however "fake"), the better. The other way around (artist I hate with a great song) is FAR worse.

I did buy signed Kylie bundles for Magic and Tension I, but managed to break the habit (and indeed of buying a Kylie album at all) for Tension II.

I think that, and the fact that I can't dredge up enthusiasm for Christmas music at all except for a few days, made this a fairly easy choice not to buy.

The Tension/Tension II thing backfired, I think. There was an immediate assumption of leftovers, which made it very easy to pass on.

Perhaps I'm just being PICKY, but I wouldn't feel it was 'personally signed' unless she was signing it in front of me.

An extended XMAS :eyes: and a remix coming next week apparently.

I wouldn't be averse to a S/A/W mix. Might make me enjoy it a bit more (aside from that 40s cover that I posted earlier).

It is!

The Spotify version also has far better colour grading. What the hell?

The Spotify video is a professional music video and this is.....erm.
