I think already made a Germans and deaths joke. They are not landing in the current atmosphere.
 
My guess is that the average age of infected Germans are lower than in Italy and Spain.
 
If I get quarantined I'd like to build a new bathroom cabinet (#floppet). Might have to get me to B&Q before it gets too bad.

Yes I was thinking of looking into flat pack furniture too.
 
During his press conference babble Trump said that a UK and Ireland to US travel ban is (unsurprisingly) incoming.
 
A colleague of ours was being uber-smug yesterday on the grounds that she could still fly to New York on holiday today and NOTHING would stop her.

Fair enough.

My sister text me to say that it is very quiet, and bars and restaurants are closing on Monday. I think I would rather be at home.

Completely genuine.

The Tories want deaths. "Herd Immunity" works when people are vaccinated and there isn't a vaccine. This is pure spin. They want deaths. They want a reduction in the "economically inactive". That's why Johnson looks so ashen because he knows how bad it could be compared to other countries and it's on him.
 
So how is it going to work? The whole population will be asked to take the streets touching and liking each other to make sure everyone is infected at the same time? :)
 
I am now thinking the most stupid decision I have made was to come back here at all TO THIS.

The thing I read says they're using schoolchildren as the control. If they want the disease to spread they'll keep the schools open. When they've had enough and want to restrict spread, they'll close them.
 
The Country and the NHS can’t cope with the costs associated with an aging population the scale we have in the UK.

The government are probably just weighing up the options of the virus which could help solve a bit of that problem vs. the lockdown which would fuck the economy further and then DP it with the OAP costs still incoming.

Beryl food update: 5 tins of soup and 2 cans of Lilt purchased in today’s trip to the shops.
