I have it from a VERY UNRELIABLE source (black cab driver) that the full lockdown for the UK will be announced on Friday.

Scott

I believe it’s the Chancellor of the Exchequer who is holding the press conference today, so am imagining pubs/clubs/restaurants will be closing and he will announce implementation of the government funding to keep them afloat.

I reckon he's do nothing at all for bars and venues and give all the money to his rich pals in aviation and investment banking.

I’ll believe that when I see it

I think this is the case. Ms Rons company are in the middle of moving to a new bigger unit and have conceded that once everything is done they may as well just pack up for a bit. What a time to be upscaling the business.

We are taking turns to work from home to make sure it goes. I think the plan is everyone will be able to by next Tuesday, though I have a feeling that may be a bit late by that stage (to be fair, most people have set up and are able to currently).

I guess if we are going in lockdown best to get it over with and just start.

I'm actually a bit disappointed we haven't seen any desperate quarantine peen pics from the usual suspects yet. get your gonads out for the lockdowned lads!

I have to say, I’m really surprised how it’s business as usual near me. Southsea is as busy as normal and I’ve seen loads of old people wandering about.

The Prime Minister's father has indicated he would ignore his son's advice to tackle the spread of coronavirus and still go to the pub.

Boris Johnson yesterday urged everyone to "avoid pubs, clubs, theatres and other such social venues", saying it was particularly important for people over 70.

But Stanley Johnson, 79, said: "Of course I'll go to a pub if I need to go to a pub." Speaking on ITV's This Morning, he said landlords "don't want people to be not in the pub at all".

There aren't enough mansons in the world...

Just came back from town. Not empty but decidedly quieter than normal.

Found ibuprofen in Spa :disco:

Just shy of 2k confirmed cases now.

They're saying they hope the measures will keep UK deaths down to 20,000.

I'm supposed to be going to the pub tonight, I might bring my own antibacterial wipes

I'm on holiday and there are people drinking in the hotel bar and eating in the cafes

Like OLD MAIL READERS are going to take any notice of 'ADVICE'. The government ADVISES that you don't have 3 G&Ts before DINDINS but that never stopped anybody

Stubborn old bastards. They don't seem to realise that they can be a vector for others as well. They've had enough of experts, you see...
