I’M REALLY ONLY SEEING PEOPLE AT WORK ANYWAY AND THE COVID RULES THERE ARE VERY GOOD. I RIDE MY RED BIKE TO AND FROM WORK SO I’M NOT TAKING PUBLIC TRANSPORT EITHER.I really think it’s fine to meet up at Christmas as long as you’re sensible and do your best to limit other social contact for the next two weeks.
Lots of chat in Essex that we're heading into Tier 3 again next week, which will be an absolute disaster for the local economy a week before Xmas.
Some fucking rough times coming up
There's an antivaxxer protest going on right now here. Apparently they were hopeful of a crowd of 1000, but reporters are estimating 200.
Absolutely no fucking point until they decide to close schools again. Should really just start from school Christmas holidays and not let them back until February.
I didn't expect the ringleader to be a QUEEN![]()
No, and his wife is only 60, and lost her father only a few weeks earlier. So sad. He was a lovely, lively man - they often looked after our dog.so sad72 is hardly even that old
Very very quickly around here. Are cases going up AGAIN?
Are cases going up AGAIN?
I had that a few weeks ago in the middle of full lockdown. I think at this stage so many people know others who have had it, and weren't badly affected, that they're not scared any more.A friend of mine invited me round to his for a beer last night. I was like, what?
All the rumours are saying this week. Imagine the shops the day before if so. Actually imagine the Christmas presents people will be getting from those who traditionally leave it all til Christmas Eve. “I thought you LIKED milk and frozen peas!”

Let's face it, the cat is well and truly out the bag now. I doubt even national lockdowns in January will have much effect. People either have lockdown fatigue or have stopped listening.
A friend of mine invited me round to his for a beer last night. I was like, what?
WhaaaaatIn plans which I’m sure will go down like a LEAD BALLOON apparently they’re planning on putting the outer London boroughs in tier 3 but keeping Central London in tier 2![]()
THIS IS IT!I’m so annoyed about this. Not seeing people is killing me. At a time when I’ve had so much shit in my life and could really use a hug, the normality of just being around people who love me and an ear to bend, I’ve played the whole thing to the book. And it feels like NO ONE is paying attention.
I’m in a WhatsApp group about our annual boys’ get together and it’s turned from 6 people in a pub garden (which I’m still really reluctant about and so have declined) to three tables next to each each other in two pub gardens and one of the guys prepping his house for everyone to go back to his afterwards. It’ll be cocaine-y and they’ll all be sharing notes by the end of the night. Same person talked about his work Christmas do which they had at their office on Friday night and apparently got “super messy with loads of gear” and was about 40 people.
We took my Mum out yesterday to get a few bits of shopping and it was rammed, with fuck all social distancing. Pubs had tables with 6-8 on who blatantly didn’t live together and it seems eating a meal and then staying all day is totally ok.
And the worst thing about all of this? Yesterday, after a glass of wine at home, talking to a friend on WhatsApp who I miss dearly and want to see, I just said “y’know what? Fuck it, come over. No one else is bothered so why should I be?”. Luckily she couldn’t anyway and half an hour later and the wine had worn off I realised I absolutely shouldn’t have done it. But the thought was there, and it must be what millions of others are thinking and doing.
Whaaaaat
What even counts as central? Are we OK in Zone 2?!
And shitty old Newham left in limbo as always.PROBABLY
I imagine OUTER means Redbridge and Brent and THOSE SORTS OF PLACES, with Hackney and H&F regarded as central
