Still playing catch up- Brother Beyond were absolute rubbish but I have a vague soft spot for them if I’m ENTIRELY honest. Can You Keep Me Secret was QUITE GOOD FUN.

Cookie Crew - "Got To Keep On" - this actually sounds ace. Bit cheeky to stuff Edwin Starr at the side of the stage but he seems happy enough.

INXS - I hate fake "in the studio" videos...I think I see what they were doing by then going into live stadium gig footage but it's still shit.

Oh - those few seconds where Gift cartwheels and starts dicking around on the piano are excruciating...the very forced smile on other bloke's face tells you why they were not long for this world... :D
 
I fucking hate that U2 record. I can see why BB King did it because it does seem their enthusiasm and love for him was genuine but the results are absolutely turgid. The Edge's no-effort solo is rotten, the playing is stiff and you wonder why they didn't just give King the song and be his backing band.
 
Transvision Vamp were a little bit too exaggerated and cartoon-ish for their own good, as it turned out. Boys wearing leather, girl wearing very little, boys with dark hair, girl with blonde hair. Good tune this tho', has lasted well.
 
Grudgingly short Metallica clip. Mostly instrumental because shoutygrowl vocals I assume.

Actually, quite nice to see footage of them from before they became a Metallica parody band.
 
"Lullaby" is, of course, a masterpiece, the apex of the Cure's extraordinary ability to be melodic, catchy and appealing whilst also being utterly peculiar, unsettling and deeply other.
