Surely the pinnacle of lyricism.

WRONGRebecca Wheatley is a great obscure answer to someone who had two top ten hits in the late 90s.
Nah, Hinda was on Island. The Honeyz were on Mercury.Think they were all on Wildstar, a Telstar offshoot, not a HARBINGER for long term success sadly![]()

What an absolutely dreadful song - the lyrics are like an actual parody of all that fluff around thenSpace buying a bit of time with The Ballad of Tom Jones.
I have fond memories of this, but in retrospect it's a much better idea than it is an actual song.

Lutricia McNeal's little run of chart stardom remains a source of deep fascination to me. Where did she come from? How did this rather mumsy-looking woman of indeterminate age randomly spend a year as one of the most played artists on UK radio and then vanish forever? I need a documentary or a six part investigative podcast.
But Sardonicus N-Tyce were on Telstar. Whilst Fierce were on Wildstar. Fierce were the the oddest act. They had their biggest hit Sweet Love 2K (StarGate Mix) & were dropped. Which led them to Mis-teeq, StarGate produced their biggest hits.Nah, Hinda was on Island. The Honeyz were on Mercury.
Yeah I always found that odd with Fierce, there was a seeming big final push of promotion that got them a top 3 hit & then nothing. But Sardonicus N-Tyce were on Telstar. remix of their earlier hit "Dayz Like That" was a huge club anthem, but I never heard it played anywhere else.
FUN FOR EUROPE like this. Should have been released later in the year though, it's a summer song through & through.

It was a summer hit in Europe in 1997. Albeit in an awful Euro rap reggae form. Thankfully we were spared and got a UK remixAlexia with "Uh La La La" - now I'm always up for a bit ofFUN FOR EUROPE like this. Should have been released later in the year though, it's a summer song through & through.
Jancelling before jancelling was a thing, we love to see it
911 too!Louise’s face being like “yeah i know, I’ve even surprised myself by singing live today!”

You'd never see Marge apologising LIVE ON SCREEN for not showing up!Janet Jackson not performing because of a "FEEBLE EXCUSE"Jancelling before jancelling was a thing, we love to see it

Any idea why the project was abandoned after this single VoR? I would have thought they'd try & squeeze another couple of top 20 hits out of the album. My friend commented on All That Matters that it sounds like a montage song in search of a B-tier romantic comedy, which I think is about right.
Bless her for braving a live vocal though.
